Requirements

In 2008, Wooldoza required an online shop for selling its wool products. The website has features such as product catalogue, shopping cart, customer management, order management and online payment gateway

Visual E-commerce system developed by Faysoft is applied in this project.

The main different between this website and typical online shop is that there are categories nested with each other, each category has its own image, description and relations to other categories while in a typical online shop system that categories are only groups with no image and purpose for grouping products.

Each product also has a number of images. Different options are also available for each product such as size, colour, etc. Each option may have its own image. For example, the option "colour" must have image uploaded for the customers to see the actual colour they would like to purchase. Different option may affect the price differently.

Features such as shopping cart, customer sign-up, login, checkout, order submission, online payment through payment gateway, are all standard.

Site manager can manage all products, categories, update all details of both, track the orders, search/manage the customers and modify other content of the site.

There are some features which are expected by the client. These features will be added soon to the website. These features include "order statistics", "Email marketing system" and "gift voucher system".
